There are many options that international pupils choose from when studying at Mowden Hall School. We are as flexible as possible whilst ensuring that your son or daughter fulfils what they want to achieve when studying in the UK, ie. improving English; immersion in English culture; developing their confidence, gaining more independence.

Children can come to us for a short stay – we offer a minimum of a four weeks programme, or half a term, a term or longer. We can discuss with you and your agent what suits your family best.

We currently offer places to pupils around the world as part of our boarding community and welcome a small number in each year group, ensuring pupils integrate and make the most of the opportunity to live alongside pupils from different backgrounds and cultures. If space allows we can normally offer boarding places in Years 5, 6, 7 or 8. A popular option for international boarders is to join us for two years in Years 7 and 8 as this is a great introduction to the UK education system ahead of the senior school application process. 

Small UK Boarding School Where Every Pupil is Known & Heard 

Mowden is a small family feel school with just over 200 pupils from the age of 3-13. We are small enough that every pupil is known and, so every pupil can also be given the individualised attention they deserve allowing them to reach their full potential.

Pupils can attend Mowden Hall School from all over the world. We have great transport links and are situated within 10-minute  to Newcastle airport. Direct train from London to Newcastle in 3 hours.

For transporting pupils to and from the airport; our drivers are carefully selected to ensure our pupils safety and for outbound journeys, the drivers check pupils in to their flights promptly and stay with them if any unforeseen flight delay occur. Vehicles may transport an individual or be shared depending on flight times.
